Rail Transportation

Rail transportation is the most optimal solution to deliver containers from ports to final destination, especially for heavy load.

Rail transportation can be used for containers with cargo weight of 21.5–26 tons without special permit (such permit would be required in case of road transportation).

In-transit lead time for rail delivery between Moscow and Vladivostok amounts to 12-15 days.

When rail and sea deliveries are combined, sea containers are sent to port or placed at warehouse.

Flagman also runs rail deliveries from Northern China – such delivery is faster but more expensive.

We help skipping the customs formalities at the Russian border, since our partner Russian Railways OAO is licensed as customs carrier, this allows to clear the goods at destination.

International railroad container transportation is effected in accordance with the International Rail Freight Routes Agreement.
